B i o g r a p h y

I was born by the Andes Mountains, in Santiago de Chile during the military dictatorship of Pinochet. When I was 17 years old I discovered by beautiful mystical chance, theatre and circus. Suspended from a trapeze I decided that life could surely have other perspectives than what school tried to preach to me. It was hanging there, in the air, that I told myself that I had to follow my instinct and search for what I really loved in this short life. In believing this, I started to travel by my country and around Latin America, to try to know a little more about my beautiful continent but also to try to learn more about circus and other arts of the scene. In between I also made formal studies in theatre and literature.

In the year 2001 we opened, with a bunch of artist friends the “Centro de Investigacion Escénica AKI”. For the realization of this project we chose to occupy illegally an enormous old abandoned house that had been, in the past, a center of torture and detention for the dictatorship and that had been, as many horrible events, forgotten by the state. It was here that I started my artistic research over the themes of memory and resilience. I based my work around workshops and collective creations in partnership with different social organizations, especially with organizations of ex political prisoners, survivors and families. The project in this house lasted for 5 amazing years. It was a real school for all of the artists who participated in the project and we rest today bonded deeply to this experience. Some questions started to strike me strong: How can it be possible for people…after all this pain, after all of this injustice to rise up again? How can it be possible that we dream again as a society when all the utopias have been brutally destroyed?

In september 2008 I left my country with my dreams of knowledge as my luggage and the desire to discover other continents and other people, open my head, and my universe. In France I got a Master degree in theatre and I made my way through a pretty competitive artistic context.

In Europe I have taken workshops principally in butoh danse (with Tadashi Endo, Carlota Ikeda, Gyohei, Sarah Nassar, Atsuchi Takenouchi) I work and have worked with different companies in Europe as Luna Collectif, Living Structures and Culture en Mouvements. I am teacher of aerial silks and rope in La Grainerie, Toulouse and in the University of Toulouse. I have participated in many amazing projects in Madrid, Athenesm Chile and in the occupied territories of Palestina.

In September 11th, 2010 I created Projet R.A.P (Révolution Alchimiste et Poétique) developping several pedagogic engaged interdisciplinary projects with the intention of making the bridge between Chile and France. In 2019 I obtained a Master degree in  Dramatic writing and theater direction in Aix-Marseille Université.
